The Bishop's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Ministries

The primary tasks of the Commission continue to be evangelical and educational, seeking ways that our Church can share faith, hope and discipleship with gay and lesbian persons and helping us all to be more informed and understanding of the issues and concerns of gay and lesbian persons as well as family members and friends.

Other organizations active within the Diocese of Los Angeles

Claiming the Blessing
Claiming the Blessing is an organization of Episcopalians promoting the church blessing of same-sex relationships and advocating for full inclusion of all the baptized in all sacraments of the church, including the selection of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered candidates as bishops, priests, and lay leaders where they are otherwise qualified.

Integrity
Integrity is a nonprofit organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender [LGBT] Episcopalians and our straight friends.  Since our founding by Dr. Louie Crew in rural Georgia in 1974, Integrity has been the leading grassroots voice for the full inclusion of LGBT persons in the Episcopal Church and our equal access to its rites.  However, advocacy is only one facet of our ministry.  At the national level and in local chapters and diocesan networks throughout the country, the primary activities are: worship, fellowship, education, communication, outreach and service to the church.
