The Program Group on
Ministry in Higher Education
The program group on Ministry in Higher Education serves campuses within the Diocese of Los Angeles by building community among students, faculty and staff. Weekly worship, social gatherings, and ecumenical outreach are among other activities and events coordinated through the campus chaplaincies. A number of congregations also extend parish-based ministries to neighboring campuses among the more than 80 institutions of higher education within the six-county Diocese of Los Angeles.

University Chaplaincies
University chaplaincies provide students and faculty with resources for Christian community-building, ecumenical outreach, worship and more. While an Episcopal presence is maintained at several major university campuses in the area, there are more than 80 institutions of higher learning within the Diocese. Therefore, several congregations in the Diocese extend various parish-based ministries to neighboring campuses, while major programs are coordinated by the chaplaincies listed below.
