Established 1986, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation and
institution of the Episcopal Diocese in Los Angeles
Encourages and assists in the development, operation, and preservation of low-income housing for families, senior citizens, and the mentally and physically disabled. With more than 20 properties, CHMS has a social contract to provide more than quality property management for residents, and provides a wide range of social services.

The Institute for Urban Research and Development
(IURD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1996. IURD promotes community development by facilitating the self-empowerment of people and communities, advancing social, cultural, and economic solutions through community-based research, public policy advocacy, nonprofit program development and direct community services. IURD was accepted as an institution of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles in December of 2000.
