About Mount Calvary Retreat Center:
In November 2008 a wildfire destroyed the beloved Mount Calvary Monastary and Retreat Center in Santa Barbara, a ministry of the Brothers of the Holy Cross, an Episcopal monastic order.
The monks, who all escaped safely from the fire, are living at St. Mary's Retreat House in Santa Barbara, and are still in the process of assessing their loss and deciding how to proceed in the future.
Letters, cards and financial contributions are welcome and may be mailed directly to the Mount Calvary Fire Fund, P.O. Box 1296, Santa Barbara, CA 93102, or online through Facebook (click on “causes,” and then “Mount Calvary”).
Short e-mail messages may be sent to the monks care of iconguy@yahoo.com.
